# Voice Design

Plan a narrator or character voice brief, prepare a sample script, and explore a browser speech demo. The demo uses built-in voices rather than generating a voice from your prompt.

## A place to prepare a voice brief

Voice Design brings a voice-description field and a sample-script field into a browser workspace. It is intended for planning narration, fictional characters, explainers, and podcast concepts.

## Explore the current demo

Write down the role, pacing, vocal texture, and mood you want. Add a short passage that reflects the project, then explore the three-preview demo interface. The current demo uses the browser's built-in speech voices. It does not create a new voice from the description, and its samples do not reproduce prompt guidance.

## Useful preparation

Keep a representative script while refining the brief. Include names or technical words you expect to use, and check where sentences need pauses. The site also provides guidance on voice descriptions and the distinction between designing a fictional speaker and cloning an existing voice.

## Scope and limits

The demo is marked as using no credits. Available browser voices vary by device. This listing describes the public demo, not a production audio-generation service; downloadable custom audio and exact accent matching are not promised. The screenshot shows the existing interface.
